About the Author
Richard L. Morrill serves on several corporate and not-for-profit boards and as a consultant on governance, leadership, and strategy to colleges and universities. Following ten years as president of the University of Richmond, he became chancellor and was also named Distinguished University Professor of Ethics and Democratic Values in 1998. He previously served as president of Centre College and of Salem College.

Great resource

Although the book seemed a bit dry and academic to read, as I went through the book I had to keep stopping to grab my iPad to check out some of the other books and resources cited in the text. By the time I finished reading the book I had ordered 3 others mentioned in the bibliography. That, I believe, is a testament to the quality of the material.

Great Read

This is a well written text and relevant to today's challenges and victories in higher education. Very goal specific objectives that deliver each time. Organizational strategy is necessary for proper administration of any organization, specifically higher education. Good organizational leadership is inherent in good higher educational governance. Having both the best strategy and the best leadership at the top and through-out the institution at colleges and universities translates into good governance, good administration, good management principles, and good subordinate compliance.
