summary of Atlas Shrugged

A friend said I need to read Atlas Shrugged..... are you kidding me! It's like a jillion pages. So I got this kindle version of a synopsis and I enjoyed it a lot and it made me curious to know the entire story. Now I do plan to read the jillion page book.
Well written with explanations of what things mean. It challenged my brain, remembering literary terms I hadn't considered since 11th grade.
I would recommend this.

A Good Condensation

The unabridged "Atlas Shrugged" is an important book, but is far too long. Ms Rand just wears the reader out, going on and on and on with her philosophy. This condensed version does a nice job of capturing the essence of the book, saving the reader 1100 pages and providing the story outline with suggestions on what parts of the book to read in its unabridged form Particularly for one who read the unabridged version decades ago and wants to revisit it, this version is a fine choice.

Helped me pass my test

I found this summary of Atlas Shrugged very useful for the class I'm currently taking. Unlike
most people in my class, I actually read the full text in addition to this summary. Overall, I was
happy with the purchase. The points highlighted in this guide helped me understand a few
things I might have missed by simply reading the full text.
Pros:
- I liked how each chapter was broken down. It allowed me the ability to skip around and
find what I was looking for.
- It was about the right length for a summary it covered the book in sufficient detail. We
discussed the book in detail during my class, and there really didn't seem to be anything that was
missing from the guide.
- The guide was kind of fun to read, unlike the actual book.
- The description of all the themes used throughout the book was very
helpful. This is what my teacher really focused on, so this proved to be
valuable.
Cons:
- No potential test questions in the guide. That might have been useful.
I'm not in agreement with the premise of this book (my personal opinion of Ayn Rand's thesis).
All in all, great purchase for the price. Helped me pass my test.
