I wish I read the reviews first before I bought this! 3.5 Star

I wish that I read the reviews first before I got this book or I would have known it's a trilogy. It is 611 pages, nothing about the synopsis had said it would come in 3 parts. To wait until next year for the rest is a complete turn off, I don't mind if they come in trilogy or even pentalogy as long as it's clearly indicated.

If you are truly into the Gulf War, Mercenary Soldiers, Sarin nerve gas poisoning and the devastating effect of it; notorious evil powers such as Saddam Hussein and weapons of mass destruction, then this is for you. Keeping up with so many names of characters which isn't easy ( foreign middle eastern names ) to keep up with the events, you may need to start writing them down or you'll be lost in the shuffle. There were too many unnecessary events that could have been contracted and perhaps would have made it easier to follow, that I found it distracting and took away from the narrative of the current love story. Out of 611 pages, about 50% only was dedicated to the love affair of Eliah and Matilde, true it has some actions and tense moments with limitless foreign names to remember, but if you were looking for an easy read with inspiring events and relatable characters, you may want to consider looking into another.

The love affair between Eliah Al-Saud and Matilde was what held my interest, even then, I was not impressed with Matilde's character, she has too much baggage, she's weak in her resolve and comes out feigned and spurious despite the repeated glowing description of her being ethereal in beauty, etc, etc...she just comes out too needy and clingy. Not to mention her incredibly "incredible" immaturity, it's like a mind of a 15 yr.old that'll grate on your nerves.

Eliah on the other hand is one exceptional man, a former mercenary soldier, once an elite French soldier who did everything exceptionally over the top, has great rigid discipline and self control but somehow loses it where Matilde is concerned. The love relationship between them is almost too good to be true and hard to believe especially Matilde being less than honest, keeping the devastating truth from Eliah, facts she's well aware are significantly important to him. Matilde's insincere, deceiving and pretentious self drove me nuts at times but Eliah's overwhelming love and desire for her, his inner turmoil and uncertainties, listening to his POV about his desperate and tormented soul and the constant fear deep in the pit of his stomach feeling Matilde is unattainable, just pierced my heart...this beautiful extraordinary man deserve an equally beautiful, honest, strong spirited woman with loving heart ...definitely not Matilde.

War and Peace would have been more fun.

This book was way too long. And in the end it said END OF PART I. I don't even want to read anymore. It was a romance that wanted to be a spy novel or vice versa. It had a lot of twists. The main characters acted immature. They were jealous and insecure. This was a book a put down a lot of times and didn't want to pick it back up. I finally skimmed to the end. The writer is good. The reason I gave it 1 start. But, there was just too much going on.

What a great journey through the lives of Eliah and Matilde! It started with tension and ended with the same and in between the story of these two surprisingly likeable people captured me. Although quite cliched and vaguely disconnected on some occasions, the structuring of this book was very good. This was for two reasons, one, was simply Eliah. Somehow, the Hero is a super-spy-merc-hot-guy who is quite the family man, this I liked because the author very skillfully made Eliah not so much of an isolated fighting machine as spy heroes often are, and in doing so humanized him for me, made him more real. The second reason this story was good for me, was because although the ending was not the best possible, it was still satisfying and for a 600+ page book, I thought it ended in a place that allows the characters a little room to grow. They need that, in my opinion.
The action suspense part of the book made little impact on me, there was a lot going on, but I would not read this book for espionage thriller suspense with chases and gunfights. This is not that story. The best part of this book for me was not in getting history lessons either, it was in the high-strung powerful relationship that these two very different people were trying to have. There was a lot of dialogue in this book and it was sometimes bumpy because it was clear this is a translation, in trying to stay true to the moment or the expressions of the original, sometimes the nuances of English that would have been helpful, were missing. Nevertheless, this book charmed me for its novelty in the setting, the characters, perhaps not so much the passionate romance, but definitely for intriguing me enough to want to read the continuation. I recommend this book and am anticipating the next one.

The United States International Trade Commission (or “ITC”) is a federal administrative agency which, among other things, has responsibility for protecting U.S. domestic industry from acts of “unfair importation.” One such type of unfair importation is the importation into the U.S. of products which infringe a valid, enforceable intellectual property right, such as a patent, for which there is a domestic industry.

As compared to the United States District Courts (which have exclusive jurisdiction for lawsuits for damages alleging infringement of a patent), the ITC can generally be a much quicker venue, in part because the ITC uses somewhat streamlined and unique procedures as contrasted with the procedures in the district courts. If an IP owner prevails in an ITC action (which, instead of a “lawsuit” is called an “investigation”), the remedy the ITC can provide includes a so-called “exclusion order” or a type of injunction which orders the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service to exclude from importation into the U.S. any products determined to be infringing a valid, enforceable IP right for which a domestic industry exists.

Thus, barring a product from importation into the U.S. poses a tremendous risk for most companies, given the size and scope of the U.S. market for most businesses worldwide. However, the processes from starting or “instituting” an ITC investigation, through pre-trial and trial, and to enforcement can be extremely complex and deserve serious consideration whenever a company is faced with or contemplating the prospect of litigation before the ITC.

Good ITIL study guide, available in Kindle edition

I like it. Very thoughtful and comprehensive presentation of subject matter that is easy to follow and understand. I initially thought that some of the analogies' and scenarios were a little hokey, but came to appreciate how they depicted ITIL in a different perspective, relevant to the real world.

It was refreshing to see that this study guide delves into the creation and development of IT service management while taking a very detailed approach to all the aspects of ITIL foundations. Definitely not just another "how to pass" regurgitation.

That said, the only heartburn I have is that there is no table of contents in the study guide, just a "start" prompt. It would be helpful to be able to see and select the different sections at will rather than blindly paging up/down or using Ctrl F to find and review the material.

Overall, a very good study guide that will make a useful addition to my reference library, and the eLearning component (which I will download shortly) will be a great advantage in passing the ITIL foundations exam.

I'm new to ITIL but have extensive Program Management experience and education. It was a pleasant surprise when I found out that I could access a complete multimedia course on the information contained in this book. Also, I received a certificate of completion---that added to the WoW factor. Just know there is kind of, sort of, a bit of a standardized way of presenting the material in the book. It would have been nice if all major subjects in the books (e.g. the 5 frameworks and their processes) would have been presented in a standardized way (e.g. Input, Process, Output). In fact, a Work Breakdown Structure of ITIL would have been nice---then each dendrite node could be contained in a WBS dictionary---then the activities to produce the nodes addressed. The logical presentation of the material in the book is good---it could be better.

From the Author
Having never written before and suffering from a disability "Be Careful What You Pray For!" was definitely a challenge.  However, by God's graciousness in granting me my prayer request of wanting to see Heaven, and by allowing me the unexpected terrifying experience of visiting Hell (the Lake of Fire), together placed an unbearable burden on me like none other.  This caused me to not only write the book, but to also publish it.

The two burdens, of only wanting to tell of the delivering, powerful love that God has for His creation, and the overwhelming responsiblity to warn others of this dreadful place called Hell, coupled with having just survived a heart attack, made urgency a suppreme issue as well.

The completion of the book definitely lifted the burdens.  Now it is in God's hands.  My only request of God, is that He would move on the hearts of those for whom the experience was for, that they too might know and experience His love.  May God bless all who read this book and all who passes it on.

     This is a wonderful book detailing the events that took place in the life of my dear friend, Pastor William Brooks.

     Working with Pastor Brooks at a computer store in Charleston, WV, we quickly became friends.  I quickly became aware of his love for the Lord and the people of God.  Over the past 26 years, I know Pastor Brooks to be a faithful servant unto the Lord Jesus Christ and an excellent Pastor, a true friend, and a loving husband and father.

     Proverbs 17:17  "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."

     "Be Careful What You Pray For!" will inspire people to serve God with their whole heart.  It will encourage you to seek the Lord while He may be found

     Although we may go through adversity not understanding the reason why things happen, God is yet with us and is faithful unto us.  We have not be forsaken and we are never alone, God is there to help us through every situation.

     We must remember not to focus on the circumstances in our lives, but trust and depend on our True, Loving and Faithful God that this book talks about.

This book gives awesome insight into the spiritual realm of Heaven and Hell. The author's story allows the reader to feel as though they taking the journey along with him. I sincerely recommend this book for anyone who is seeking a closer relationship with Christ.
