About the Author
William Carlos Williams (1883 1963), author of Paterson and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Pictures from Brueghel, is widely considered one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century. Also a short-story writer, novelist, essayist, and translator, he helped in a big way to establish modernism in America.

unworthy reprint

This book is a reprint, actually photocopied from a used library book. The copy crops off letters towards the margins and includes handwritten notes also copied onto the pages. My favorite handwritten comment being "pooh." Perhaps the price for a bad photocopy of a book in the public domain that is not only used, but marred, should peak at about a dollar, not fourteen dollars.

Best worst book of poems

It's the best worst book of poems. Unfortunately, the poor formatting of the book renders significant portions illegible. The legible parts--especially starting halfway through--are certainly apogees of Williams' work. A quick read that needs improvements.
